How do I order bulk beef
A typical two-year-old grass-fed Piedmontese steer has a hanging weight of about 600 pounds, meaning each quarter is roughly 150 pounds. Piedmontese beef yields about 65% edible meat from the hanging weight, totaling around 97.5 pounds of meat. Steers processed early in the year may weigh slightly less, while those processed in the fall can be heavier.
Tamarack Farms Piedmontese offers a fixed weight quarter, ensuring that you receive and pay for this standard quantity of beef. Additionally, we have included the processing, handling, and shipping fees in the price, ensuring transparency from the moment of purchase, so you know the total cost of our superior lean and tender Piedmontese beef.
We offer two options for our standard fixed weight mixed quarter purchases. If you like Porterhouse, T-bone and Rib steaks with the bone you will want to order our bone-in option. If you prefer trimmed New York strip, Delmonico and Filet Mignon steaks order our boneless option.
The total cost of either choice, delivered to you vacuum packed and frozen, will be $1025. The only additional charge we offer is making burger into patties at $1.00 per lb. Patties are available at 1/3 lb each. There will be very little shrinkage of these patties due to the extra lean nature of Piedmontese meat. So, if you ordered 25 lbs. of burger turned into 60 patties that would be a $23 additional charge for a total of $1050.
